An independent guide to a landscape county

Visit McLean County is an independent visitor's guide to McLean County, North Dakota — Lake Sakakawea and the Missouri, the Garrison Dam, the small towns and the open prairie. It is written for someone driving through or staying a few days, and it is organised the way the county actually works: along the two-lane roads that connect it.

We describe real places factually. Where we are unsure of a figure — a dimension, a fee, a population — we describe the place rather than assert a number. We publish no opening times, no prices and no event listings, because those change and we would rather send you than mislead you.

We are not a government body, a chamber of commerce or a tourism office. We keep no office listings, public records or official notices, and we cannot help with county business.
