| Garrison Golf Course: Located one mile southeast of Garrison on North Dakota Highway 37. Challenging nine-hole, grass greens golf course with driving range and putting greens. Rental clubs and hand motorized carts available. Club house features Pro Shop, food, on-sale liquor and seating for approximately 100. Available for private parties by reservation. | Riverdale Golf Course: Located north of the city on 10th Street, this course overlooks Lake Sakakawea and is known for its beautiful view of the big lake. The nine hole course features artificial grass greens. For course information call (701) 654-7469. |

| Underwood Westridge Golf Course: The newest of McLean County's courses, this nine hole grass green course in located on the western edge of the city. Spread over nearly 250 acres of land, the course features short and long tee boxes which allow golfers to play a second nine holes from a different perspective. Cart rentals and clubhouse facilities are open to golfers. The course is uniquely constructed over reclaimed coal lands and is viewed as a model of reclamation work. | Painted Woods Golf Course: Located adjacent to Highway US 83 southeast of Washburn, this beautiful nine hole grass green course is rated as "awesome" because of the water hazards created by meandering Painted Woods Creek. | Max Municipal Golf Course: Located west of Max on County Road 2, the Max course is a nine hole sand green course which is being re-done with artificial greens, The course originated as a local joke where a pasture was used to create a course for the First Annual Cowpie Open. The joke took off as did its tournament and a popular course is developing which still hosts the annual "Cowpie Open," honoring the original layout. | |
