Clerk of Court
The current Clerk of Court is Cathy Bailey of Underwood. She was appointed to the one-year term position on March 1, 2008.

The Clerk of District Court is responsible for the following duties:

Acts as custodian of books, papers and records filed in that office
Attends each session of District Court
Issues all process and notices required
Keeps records of orders and judgments of the court
Keeps minutes of daily court proceedings
Draws the names of jurors, keeps records of jurors and witnesses for trails
Performs other duties as may be required by law.

Another function of the Clerk of Court's office is the acceptance of passport applications. The Clerk of District Court staff consists of one additional employee, Mary Ann Anderson, who serves as Deputy Clerk of District Court.
